Free the internal cables and remover the bulb holder
1. Remove the single screw at the base of the
handle
2. Undo all the screws to access the bottom cover
3. Cut the wires above the plugs that lead to the
topFROMTHEBULBSIDE(newplugsandleads
comewiththebulb)
4. Windoffthereectortoexposethebulb
5. Undothe2.5mmAllenkeyscrewtoremovethebulb
holder
6. Remove the bulb holder from the handle
Remove the HID bulb from the Holder
1. Note the positional and orientation of the bulb before removing it from the holder
2. Usinga2.5mmAllenkeyloosenthetworecessedscrewsthatholdthebulbinsidethebulbholder.
3. RetthenewbulbtakingcaretoaligntheorientationandfocalpositionofthebulbcorrectlyandafxthetwoAllenkey
screws, Warning, do not over tighten the screws – damage to the ceramic base may result.
4. Retaintheprotectiveplasticcasethenewreplacementbulbwaspackedin.
Reassembly
1. Remove the handle, press in the two tabs to free the handle from the base.
2. Feed to bulb holder wires down the handle so the exit at the base
3. Fitthebulbholderbackintothehandleandafxthe2.5mmAllenkeyscrew
4. TheHIDbulbisdelicateandneedstobehandledwithcare.Protectthebulbduringreassemblyusingthecasethebulb
waspackedin.
5. Locatethecablesbackthroughthehandletothebase
6. Reattachthebasetothehandle,pressthetwotabstogetherandclickintoplace
7. Fittheconnectorsontothecables,theypushtandaredifferentsizestomakesurepolaritycannotbereversed.Refer
Figure 1.Makesuretheseareconnectedproperly;givethematugtomakesuretheywillnotseparate.
8. Plugtheconnectorstogethertoconnecttheballast.
9. Test
10. Disconnect power
11. Reassemble,removeprotectivecoverfrombulbandattachreector.
12. Focusthereectorbyrotationitandcheckthatatightspotbeamisproduced.
